What Counts as a Complaint?
Online complaints can concern effectiveness, shipping, billing, refunds, side effects, marketplace authenticity or customer expectations. Combining all of these into a single “complaint rate” without a denominator would be misleading.
Effectiveness Complaints
A report that a user noticed no benefit is an individual experience, not proof that nobody benefits. The reverse is also true: a positive testimonial does not establish typical effectiveness.
Side-Effect Reports
Anecdotal adverse experiences can be useful signals but cannot establish incidence or causation by themselves. Product-specific rates require systematic collection and a known denominator.
Refund and Billing Complaints
The seller currently advertises a 60-day guarantee and one-time payment. Physical returns are required under the seller instructions for refund approval. Those documented terms should be separated from individual service complaints.
Marketplace and Counterfeit Claims
A marketplace listing using the ProtoFlow name does not by itself prove seller authorization, formula equivalence or counterfeit status. We will not label a listing counterfeit without evidence.
How We Grade Complaint Evidence
- Documented seller/transaction evidence
- Multiple independently verifiable reports
- Single identifiable anecdote
- Anonymous or copied testimonial
- Unsupported promotional claim
Complaint Taxonomy: What Type of Problem Is Being Reported?
| Complaint type | What can be checked | What should not be inferred |
|---|---|---|
| Effectiveness | Exact claim, duration, formula and context | Typical success/failure rate from isolated posts |
| Billing | Receipt, merchant descriptor and order record | Platform-wide behavior from one case |
| Shipping | Order date, tracking and seller terms | Universal delivery time from anecdotes |
| Refund | Published guarantee and actual instructions | Guaranteed outcome without following current process |
| Marketplace authenticity | Listing, seller identity, packaging and authorization evidence | “Counterfeit” merely because a third-party listing exists |
Why We Do Not Calculate a Positive-Review Percentage
Public testimonials are rarely collected through a transparent sampling method. Without knowing how many buyers were eligible to respond, how reviews were moderated and whether identities or purchases were verified, a percentage can create false precision. We therefore use complaints as investigation leads and verify the underlying commercial or safety fact where possible.
How to Document a Complaint Usefully
Keep the order confirmation, date, seller route, bottle/label photographs, lot information if visible, correspondence and any refund instructions. For a suspected adverse reaction, medical context matters more than an online rating. For refund and seller terms, continue to ProtoFlow price and refund details.
